Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what information BriefKitt handles, why, and what choices you have. We wrote it in plain language. It applies to everyone who uses BriefKitt anywhere in the world: freelancers who create briefs, and clients who fill them in.
1. Who we are
BriefKitt is a small online service that lets freelancers create client briefs, share a link, and read the answers. Contact us at support@briefkitt.site.
2. What we collect
- Account email: the email address a freelancer enters to log in. We use it to send the login link and to identify the owner of their briefs.
- Password (optional): if you set one, it is stored only as a salted hash. We cannot read it, and it is never stored in plain text.
- Brief content: the title, intro, and questions a freelancer creates.
- Responses: the answers a client submits through a brief link. Clients are not asked for an account.
- Activity log: the time and page of each visit, and key actions such as logging in, creating or publishing a brief, and receiving a response. IP addresses are stored only as a salted hash, not in readable form. We use this to keep the service secure and to understand how it is used.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use advertising trackers in BriefKitt.
3. How we use information
- To run the service: log you in, store your briefs, and show responses to their owner.
- To keep the service secure, including blocking obvious spam and repeat submissions.
- To contact you about your account or important changes to this policy.
- To improve the product, using aggregated information that does not identify anyone.
4. Where data is stored
BriefKitt runs on Cloudflare (hosting and a database), and login emails are sent through Resend. Client answers are encrypted before they are stored. Because these providers operate in several countries, your data may be processed outside your own country.
5. Who can see responses
Site administrators can see account details, activity logs and moderation records, so they can keep the service safe. They cannot read the contents of client answers.
Only the owner of a brief, after logging in, can view its responses. We do not read responses except when needed to fix a technical problem you have reported, and only with your knowledge.
6. Clients who fill in a brief
If you are a client, the freelancer who sent you the link receives your answers. Your answers are governed by the freelancer's own practices too. If you want to see, change, or delete what you sent, contact the freelancer first. You may also write to us, and we will help where we can.
7. Retention and deletion
You can delete a brief and its responses at any time from the dashboard. Account data is kept while the account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and related data by writing to us.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information, and to object to some uses. These rights are available to everyone, and we will respond to reasonable requests. We will not discriminate against you for using them.
9. Security
We use safe coding practices, limit how much information forms accept, and protect against obvious abuse. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong email account and keep your device protected.
10. Children
BriefKitt is for working professionals and is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product grows. We will change the "last updated" date above, and for important changes we will tell account holders by email.
